The Spicewood Residence balances modernist ideals with a carefully managed budget, using the site’s steep topography to create layered indoor-outdoor living. Tucked into the hillside, the front façade maintains privacy, while expansive rear windows open the home to dramatic sunrise views. A restrained material palette was essential to controlling cost, and the plan centers on an open living and kitchen space, with private quarters set apart by the dining area and stairs. A three-level terraced back patio extends living outdoors, anchored by a pool deck and fire pit.
