Professional Structure + Cultural Craft
Abel Schillinger + Tare Austin

Professional structure meets cultural craft.

Interior Refresh / 4,500 sq.ft.

Remodel / 500 sq.ft.

After completing a 4,500-square-foot law firm interior revitalization, the client returned with a vision to transform the firm’s breakroom into Tare, a Michelin-Recommended Omakase speakeasy.

The challenge was to create a space that could serve its practical purpose during the day while seamlessly transforming into an intimate dining environment at night. A 20-foot folding door conceals the dining area as guests gather in the adjacent conference room for cocktails. When opened, the door reveals a low-light, Japanese-inspired aesthetic and carefully detailed finishes that create an atmosphere both refined and transportive. The moment introduces a quiet overlap of two worlds where professional structure meets cultural craft.
