Contemporary + Historic
Bryker Woods Residence
Traditional vernacular in a modern application.
new build / 3,000 sq. ft.
Located in a historic Austin neighborhood, this 3,000-square-foot home was designed to meet neighborhood guidelines and reflect the homeowners’ desire to blend modern and traditional sensibilities. The layout prioritizes visibility and connection, supporting everyday life for a family with two active children with a glass-enclosed “puzzle room” off the front porch. The main living area features an open floor plan with clear sightlines to outdoor spaces and private adult spaces tucked discreetly nearby. Children’s bedrooms and a generous play area are located upstairs, and a pool deck anchors the rear courtyard creating a private retreat within the urban setting.
